In Legally Blonde[]

In the movie, according to Vivian, Warner was waitlisted because he failed three classes to the point that he had to rely on his father to make a personal call. Vivian also stated that Warner does not know how to do his laundry and he needed a personal professional to do it for him. In the end, Warner is dumped by both Elle and Vivian after realizing who he really is. Warner graduates without honors, without a girlfriend, and he has no job offers.
In Legally Blonde 2[]

In the sequel, Warner never appears except the movie only show the picture of him and Elle yet she has created a prohibition sign on him, indicating that he is no longer her boyfriend.
In Legally Blonde (Novel)[]
In the novel, the plot is similar to the film but with many changes in detail. It is revealed that Warner was athletic and talented in the arts. Warner and Elle dated for some time. Warner dumps Elle for Sarah in order to be able to go to Stantford Law School to become a lawyer and senator because he felt Elle wasn't serious enough for him. It is revealed after he goes to law school, he is flunking every class and he is trying to skip classes because he is flunking those classes. He tries to get Sarah to use her connections and influence to get a job at her father's law firm despite he is flunking much to Sarah's distress. Warner snobbishly makes rude remarks about law students and law school when he asks Elle to go on a date with him. It is revealed that he doesn't know what he wants to be in life and he keeps on relying on his family's name as an excuse when things don't go his way. When he realizes that Elle's talent is greater in law than imagined, he tries again to sweet talk her by telling her that she used to be talented and that law school changed her which Elle rebuffs angrily to him on how she and Sarah relied on their hard work and talents to fairly get into law school while Warner relied on his connections. At the end, Elle and Sarah dumps him after knowing what his true character is.
